Since I share all the books I read, I thought I would from time to time share the girls’ favorite books. Maddie currently loves a short chapter book. She loves having Jeff or I read a chapter each night. While she could read some of the words in these books, I would recommend a parent read or the child be a little older.

The Princess in Black -Who says princesses don’t wear black? When trouble raises its blue monster head, Princess Magnolia ditches her flouncy dresses and becomes the Princess in Black!

Mia Mayhem is a Super Hero – Meet Mia Macarooney, an ordinary eight-year-old who finds out she has an extraordinary super-secret in this first chapter book in the brand-new Mia Mayhem series!

Zoey and Sassafras Dragons and Marshmallows – With magical animals, science, mystery, and adventure — the brand new series Zoey and Sassafras has something for everyone! Easy-to-read language and illustrations on nearly every page make this series perfect for a wide range of ages.

The Case of the Missing Cheetah (Secret Spy Society) – The first book in a highly illustrated new chapter book series about three delightfully mischievous young girls and some of the most enigmatic women in history who worked as spies.

A Collection of Stories for Five Year Olds – Snuggle up to your favorite nursery rhymes and drift into the magical worlds of all your most beloved fairytale characters with this unique collection of enchanting stories carefully selected to enthrall 5-year-olds.
